Rathaya.lk works with no login required, so we keep what we collect to a minimum. Here's exactly what that is and how it's used.
Browsing Rathaya doesn't require an account and we don't track you personally while you browse.
When you post an ad, we collect your name, WhatsApp number, the vehicle details you enter, and the photos you upload (including an odometer photo if you add one). This is shown publicly on your listing so buyers can contact you.
If you use phone + PIN login to manage your ads from any device, we store your phone number and a hashed version of your PIN — never the PIN itself in plain text.
If you submit a boost, import, bank financing, or dealer request, we collect your name and WhatsApp number to follow up with you or connect you with the relevant partner.
If you post a wanted ad, we collect the vehicle you're looking for, your budget, your name and your WhatsApp number. Your first name and a WhatsApp link to you are shown publicly on the Wanted page (after review) so sellers can contact you. Wanted ads expire automatically after 30 days.
When you mark a vehicle as sold you can optionally tell us the price it sold for. This is never shown against your name or number; we use it to understand real market prices.
Reporting a listing does not require any personal information from you — reports are anonymous.
We never ask for or store payment details, bank account numbers, or national ID information.
We don't run advertising trackers or sell any data to third parties.
We use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to understand how people use the site — things like which pages get visited, which parts of a page get clicked, and how far people scroll — so we can fix confusing bits of the design and see what's actually getting used.
Both set their own cookies to do this. Clarity masks text you type into fields before it ever reaches them. We use these tools for measuring site usage, not for ad targeting.
Your listing details and photos are shown publicly so buyers can evaluate the vehicle and contact you directly on WhatsApp — Rathaya never sits in the middle of that conversation or handles any payment.
If you submit a bank financing or dealer request, your name and WhatsApp number are shared only with that specific partner, only because you asked to be connected with them.
Listing photos are hosted on our storage provider (Vercel Blob) and are publicly accessible via their URL, the same as any photo on a public listing site.
You can mark your listing as sold or edit it at any time from your private management link — no account needed.
To have a listing or your seller account removed entirely, contact us and we'll take it down.
